COALITION FORCE VS. MERCENARIES
Three years ago, Medipharmatronics research scientists made an important discovery in the jungles of Central America! A derivative of the rare koolamula fern was found to possess powerful medicinal properties, unlike any seen before. Understanding the importance of this discovery to the world and the potential profits that could be gleaned from such a discovery, orders were given by Medipharmatronics to the scientists in Central America to harvest all the koolamula ferns they could find. Mercenary forces employed by the company were also dispatched to secure the area. This message was intercepted by the U.S. Government however, and given the worldwide benefits of such a discovery, Marines have attempted to capture the area from the Mercenaries and prevent the koolamula ferns from being harvested. The U.S. fears that, in the hands of a single corporate entity, the important medical discovery will not be shared with the world but will be held for the highest profit. Initially, with ground being lost and retaken by both sides, the Mercenaries were able to crush the Marine presence in South America for a brief time.
Before the U.S. could redeploy more forces, the Mercenaries managed to assist the scientists in getting every koolamula fern harvested from the site. An air convoy was dispatched to take the valuable cargo, mercenaries, and scientists to a Medipharmatronics lab at an undisclosed location in Central Europe. Unbeknownst to Medipharmatronics and the Mercenaries however, was that one of their own employees leaked the location of the secret lab to the U.S. It is unclear at this time what motivated the employee to risk his life to give up this information. Perhaps more of this story will unfold in the future, but with the knowledge of where the secret lab was located, the U.S. wasted no time in calling upon its allies to assist with an important undercover operation. Plans were to form an international Coalition Force to intercept the air convoy before it reached the secret lab, where more mercenaries and company operatives were waiting. The Coalition Force managed to reroute the air convoy to a small airstrip in a remote part of Western Europe. One of the largest planes, however, crashed into a nearby forest before landing. On board was a large Mercenary contingent, a few scientists and a major part of the koolamula shipment. Coalition forces were dispatched immediately to the crash site to secure the area and recover the cargo at all costs.
