In an effort to honor one of their own who is at risk for Huntington’s Disease, the Wild Bunch Paintball Team, host the Annual “Hunt For The Cure” Charity Paintball Big Game. Huntington’s Disease (HD) is a relatively obscure genetic disease that is passed down from generation to generation. Because the general population is not at risk for catching it, most people are unaware of this horrible condition. In simple terms, HD is like getting Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, MS and mental illness all in one, when you are in your 30s and 40s - the prime of life. Every child of an affected parent grows up with a 50/50 chance of getting it. Consequently, it decimates entire families. But for those who know someone with the disease, there is nothing that they won’t do to help because it is just that awful. The Wild Bunch are looking for support from people who want to make a difference while having a great time at one of the best games held in the region each year. The field owner, Darrin Johnson of Splat Tag, is supporting the event wholeheartedly and 100% of all proceeds will go to charity! Please consider getting a team formed or just getting a few friends together and showing up. We are also encouraging players, or anyone who wants to make a difference, to collect pledges and donations. Prize donations are welcome too! All donations are 100% tax-deductible! All players who bring in pledges will get an event t-shirt, with other prizes awarded based on the amount of money they collect. The top fundraiser will receive a new Angel One marker! Once again we are fast approaching that time of year where we are breaking out our paintball gear for another wild packed time playing the sport we all love... Paintball! If you were not a part of last year’s "Hunt For the Cure" Don't miss out on this years. Once again we will be raffling away an Angel 1 marker as well as various other prizes donated by members of the public, Splat-Tag, Northern Command Paintball and many others.
